We all have lives to live and hence stories to tell.  Now that I’m retired I’m enjoying a life of small adventures suitable for an old guy with bad knees.  Travel, the natural world around me, family, grandchildren, and friends make up my adventurous world.  Since photography has been a passion for over 50 years I love to tell my stories through pictures with words – this blog is my vehicle.

My stories have been of my travels. So many wonderful places, so many wonderful friends – these are my adventures.  These stories are now all in one category called “Adventures of an Old Guy.”  I plan to continue writing new stories and I hope you will enjoy them.

Now I have more stories.  So many adventures have come through my grandchildren – and I have zillions of pictures. I want to weave my stories and pictures into a new tapestry I can present my grandchildren.  This is my new category, “Adventures with Heffalumps.”  Written directly for Annie, Jake, and Rachel, I hope many others will read and enjoy them as they wish.

Finally, we have a history.  I know very little of my family history but my mother collected so many details – and some wonderful photographs! – that I want to share with my daughter and the kids.  So “Stories of Long Ago,” will be another new category written for the grandchildren.
