Blogger’s Note
I’m appalled at the video quality of my posts on Facebook. So I’m uploading the same videos here to compare the quality of video display on my WordPress site.
A Trip to Shelley Lake Park
Shelley Lake is an incredible paved “greenway” trail in North Raleigh, very close to the apartment I used to live in. A bald eagle pair nests in the back corner of the park and I’ve spent hours and hours watching them as they mated and raised eaglets. I’ve done several previous posts of their antics. Shelley Lake also hosts a large number of blue heron, a small herd of deer, several owls and pileated woodpeckers, some beaver and more than a few large water snakes! Plus Shelley Lake hosts other birds and animals as the seasons allow.
So to test my new Canon XF605 camcorder and the lens teleconverter – of course, I headed back to the lake.
Two bald eagle clips
I was absolutely delighted with the resolution, contrast and color shown in these two clips. Now I’ll see how they appear in this post. (I was very disappointed when I posted them to Facebook.
Two blue heron clips
Now, I’m posting these videos for my judgement …
First impressions
OK, but not as good as my raw video …
